Dance is for everyone!
Lillian has been working as a health worker for many years. Having both worked with children of varying ages and the elderly. She has the experience and knowledge to accommodate people with varying degrees of intellectual- and mental disabilities. This just enforces her passion to help making people feel more comfortable and looked after. No better way than but to focus on bringing music and dance into everyone’s lives.
Dancing and movement can act therapeutically. Strengthening the emotions, improving physical and social skills. Generally improving health and overall quality of life.
The goal is not to help people transform into talented performers. The most important is to simply enjoy the experience of dance and music. To be included in an activity, feeling motivated, and being able to cope based on their own preconditions - it is important, and a good feeling that everyone deserves.
Goals can be varied. It will be necessary to have a meeting before the sessions. It is important to clarify to avoid misunderstandings. Lillian is not an educated dance therapist. The session can be compared to dance therapy, due to her long experience in health care combined with her high level of dancing.
